Zoie Saunders, M.Ed., serves as the Vermont Secretary of Education, leading landmark bipartisan reforms to establish a new funding formula, redesign accountability, and strengthen educational quality statewide. Appointed by Governor Phil Scott, she brings 20 years of leadership experience spanning national public school systems, district strategy in Broward County, and citywide educational initiatives in Fort Lauderdale. An alumna of Harvard University and Vanderbilt University, Saunders combines extensive experience in school improvement with a deep commitment to expanding opportunities across public education.
