About me
As a senior implementation specialist at RTI International, Sophia Farmer co-leads the Strengthen SEA portfolio for the National Comprehensive Center. She brings more than 25 years of experience in education as a special educator, district leader, and national implementation science expert. Sophia has coached state educational agencies (SEAs) across the country, from Virginia to California, in building the systems capacity to adopt and sustain evidence-based practices. A former co-director of the State Implementation Scaling Up Center (SISEP) and founding director of the Virginia Tiered Systems of Supports Research and Implementation Center, Sophia is a widely published author and sought-after presenter on implementation science in education.
