About me
As the chief accountability officer at the Mississippi Department of Education, Dr. Paula Vanderford oversees the Commission on School Accreditation and the Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education. She also provides oversight to several program offices: Accreditation, Child Nutrition and Healthy Schools, District and School Performance, Educator Misconduct, Safe and Orderly Schools, Student Assessment, and Teaching and Leading. Paula earned a B.S. in biological sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi, an M.Ed. in administration and supervision from William Carey University, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Mississippi State University.
