About me
As a senior Research Fellow at the Edunomics Lab at Georgetown University, Maggie Cicco collects and analyzes K–12 school financial data and spending trends to inform research, policy, and practice. She began her career teaching middle school math in New Orleans and in New York City before moving into education policy, working for the Massachusetts Secretary of Education on STEM and career education programs, and serving on the U.S. Senate Committee on Education. Maggie holds a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Certificate in Education Finance from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.
