Kristy Brown, the chief academic officer at the Tennessee Department of Education, is dedicated to ensuring every student in Tennessee has access to high-quality education. She leads the divisions of Academic Strategy, Early Learning, Special Education and Student Supports, CORE District Supports, Licensure and Educator Prep (Human Capital), and College Career and Military Readiness. With over 20 years of experience as a teacher and education leader, Kristy drives the effective implementation of strategies that advance academic achievement and student preparedness for postsecondary success.
