Kristie Shankles is an education specialist with the Alabama State Department of Education, where she provides statewide leadership in implementing and continuously improving Alabama’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (AL-MTSS). With more than 25 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, instructional leadership, student services, and district-level administration, Kristie works alongside educators and leaders to strengthen systems that support student success. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, continuous improvement, professional learning, leadership development, and building coherent systems that improve academic, behavioral, and wellness outcomes for all students.
