About me
Katherine Burns is an education and public service professional with extensive experience in workforce development, educator pipeline initiatives, student mentoring, and K–12 education. As an education associate with the Delaware Department of Education, she leads statewide teacher apprenticeship and career pathway initiatives and collaborates with school districts, state agencies, legislators, and community partners. Previously, she served in the Delaware Governor’s Office, where she launched a statewide Student Mentoring Program and managed strategic education initiatives. A former social studies and special education teacher, Katherine is passionate about expanding educational opportunities, building strong partnerships, and developing innovative programs that support students, educators, and communities across Delaware.
