Professor Indhira Castro Rivera serves as operations manager for the Early Childhood Education Program at the Puerto Rico Department of Education, where she leads initiatives that strengthen teaching, learning, and educational support for young children across the island. She oversees statewide professional learning, instructional innovation, and cross-sector partnerships that promote high-quality early childhood education and improve outcomes for Puerto Rico’s youngest learners. Through her leadership, she champions evidence-based practices, educator development, and collaborative efforts that ensure children’s early education creates a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
