About me
Dr. Chris Woolard is dedicated to advancing the Department’s key priorities—literacy, learning acceleration, workforce readiness, and student wellness—and leadership of the Department’s AI in education initiatives. As the previous interim superintendent of public instruction for the Ohio Department of Education, he focused on state assessments, the development of Ohio School Report Cards, and the implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act. Dr. Woolard earned a bachelor’s degree in education and political science from Muskingum College and a master’s degree and doctorate in political science from Miami University.
