About me
Sara Wiebke graduated from Winona State University in Minnesota with her B.S. in Elementary Education with an early childhood emphasis. She began her career as an elementary classroom teacher for 10 years with her last year including an internal coaching position while teaching kindergarten. She was then recruited as a Master Literacy Coach for the Iowa Reading Corps. Sara rolled out a new early literacy law while working as an Early Literacy Implementation Lead Coach for the Iowa Department of Education. She then moved to Utah to serve as the K-3 Literacy Specialist for the Utah State Board of Education. During this time, Sara earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah. After completion, she was promoted and is currently serving as the Literacy Coordinator while leading the Early Learning team for the Utah State Board of Education. Her passion for ensuring strong literacy skills for all students is contagious. Sara continues to support districts and charters in improving early literacy outcomes across the state.
